About the kit

About the
Women, Gender and HIV/AIDS in
East and Southeast Asia Kit

Cover of the Women, Gender and HIV/AIDS Kit The printed version of the Women, Gender and HIV/AIDS in East and Southeast Asia kit is an attractive coloured folder containing more than 30 coloured A4 sheets (30 cm by 42 cm approximately). The sheets can be used as posters.

We have made the electronic version available on the Web so that we can reach a wide audience. This version contains all the text and most of the graphics from the printed version.

You have several options for obtaining a printed copy:

  1. you can download and print either a Microsoft Word version (285k) or an Adobe Acrobat version (481k), both of which contain all the original graphics. The Adobe Acrobat version gives you the best chance of retaining the exact format of the original kit.
  2. you can print the electronic version, section by section, directly from your browser, or
  3. you can save the electronic version to disk, section by section, then open and print each section using the later versions of Microsoft Word or WordPerfect.

You will certainly lose some of the original formatting by printing from the electronic version. You will lose a lot of the kit's impact if you print in black and white only.

We have to say that the electronic version doesn't have the same visual impact as the printed version. If you need to get the Women, Gender and HIV/AIDS in East and Southeast Asia message across to journalists, community leaders or politicians in East and South East Asia, you can obtain printed copies from the UNIFEM East and South East Asia Regional Office, Bangkok.

This kit has been produced by the Bangkok office of the United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM), with the collaboration of the Asia Pacific Gender Equality Network (APGEN), and the South East Asia HIV and Development program of UNDP, and UNAIDS-APICT.

Please acknowledge the source of this material and the contribution of UNIFEM, APGEN, UNDP, UNAIDS, UNICEF and UNHCR if you copy or quote all or part of the contents.
