Healthy Sexuality: The Story of Love
In Bangkok Thailand, UNIFEM has joined UNESCO and National Science Museum of Thailand (NSM), with support from Thai Health Promotion Foundation (SSS), Women’s Health Advocacy Foundation (WHAF), UNAIDS, Thai Nippon Rubber Company, Plan Thailand, and others, to develop a major exhibition, Healthy Sexuality: The Story of Love. The exhibition will be mounted at NSM for one year, from June 2010 to June 2011, with scaled-down versions traveling around the country for another two years. This will be a major educational resource for schools trying to provide age appropriate sexuality education to Thai adolescents.

Support for girls education in Timor-Leste
Outside the tiny one-room kindergarten in the village of Bogoro, in rural Liquisa, Timor-Leste, twenty children exuberantly perform ‘heads, shoulders, knees and toes’ in Tetun, the local language. They soon become out of sync, and a small girl bending down has to avoid her neighbor’s elbow, hovering at shoulder height.

UNIFEM, Ministry of Justice and Central Group of Companies Partner on Advocacy Campaign to End Voilence
BANGKOK, 2010 - UNIFEM, the Ministry of Justice and the Central Group of Companies, with the support of Thai Health Promotion Foundation jointly launched the campaign CARE NOW: Say NO to Violence Against Women at Central World on 09 March 2010. The CARE NOW campaign kicked off with the activity ‘Paint a T-Shirt to show you Care’, which will run at Central World until March 14. CARE NOW will raise awareness about violence against women at Central stores nationwide. It was followed by a self defense demonstration.

Gender Breakthroughs in Post-Tsunami Aceh
The collective world memory of a tragedy the scale of the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami is one of the brutality of nature, the struggle to recover and human strength over adversity. Women Building Their Future reflects that memory and tells the story of life in the immediate aftermath of the tsunami in the devastated province of Aceh. But it also reminds us of what happened next.

Change Now - Say NO to Violence Against Women
BANGKOK, 2009 ‐ UNIFEM, the Ministry of Justice and Thai Airways International Public Company Limited, jointly launched a fundraising initiative called Change NOW! Say NO to Violence Against Women at a press conference on 15 December 2009. UNIFEM aired a video Public Service Announcement (PSA) featuring Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha, the UNIFEM Goodwill Ambassador for Thailand. In January 2010, THAI will air the PSA onboard all domestic and international flights – a total of 250 flights a day ‐ and will help collect passenger donations of unused currency in an onboard coin‐drive. The funds collected will support UNIFEM’s programming around gender‐based violence.
